ITV appointed Serfaty as its first CDO in September 2018 as part of a new structure designed to support its “More than TV” strategy. She will be responsible for a blended team covering analytics, data science, research and analytics with the goal of supported data-driven decision-making and ensuring data is at the heart of its strategy. With a PhD in Economics from Harvard, her career has covered strategic consultancy as well as a two year stint as senior VP of data and insights at the New York Times. She will report to board member Julian Ashworth, director of strategy and direct-to-consumer.
