Data ethics is a development that builds on the heavy-lifting done around GDPR and compliance. Creating customer trust in data usage requires transparency, commitment and alignment with the brand promise.
While some organisations have made a start on developing a data ethics framework, it is critical to ensure this is not just a worthy document, but a living culture. Moving ethics into action and aligning it with corporate values should therefore be viewed as a change management process, rather than a simple policy update.
In this discussion, Scott Joslin, SVP data strategy, digital ventures and innovation international, Warner Media and Tariq Bhatti, head of data and analytics, Nursing & Midwifery Council, together with Camilla Winlo, director of consultancy services, DQM GRC, explore how data ethics can become a core part of the organisational culture in a discussion moderated by David Reed, knowledge and strategy director, DataIQ.
