Who it’s for: An application of artificial intelligence, machine learning or automation to introduce a new approach or service.

The judges are looking for activity that has used data for charitable, governmental or societal purposes rather than for business.

Who it’s for: Any framework or project aimed at putting ethics at the centre of data and AI usage.

How to win it: Ethics are a fundamental aspect of how data and AI get deployed by an organisation, ensuring there is alignment with expectations and cultural norms, as well as delivering commercial value within acceptable boundaries. Evidence of how this is being tackled, via ethics boards, frameworks or working parties, will convince the judges that your organisation is doing the right thing.

Who it’s for: Examples of data-driven solutions with a focus on improving any aspect of personal health, physical or mental.

How to win it: One of the biggest use cases for leading-edge data and analytics is around health from fitness tracking and self-optimisation using wearables through to mental health, right up to personalised medicine and treatment. The judges will be looking for innovative and deliverable solutions that are supporting health in any aspect.
