Hopewiser and The Ark have partnered to launch a new all-in-one data cleansing and suppression solution which is intended to help meet new data quality standards ushered in by GDPR. It provides one-stop access to the most recent releases of key industry files.

Cleanse N Suppress was developed by Hopewiser with the goal of creating software which would bring high-level address matching to bear on up-to-date data cleansing files. At release, it provides built-in access to Postcode Address File (PAF), National Deceased Register (NDR) and Remover Goneaway, all key suppression files owned by The Ark.

“Surviving GDPR means that we are all going to need clean, accurate data to maintain and improve our customer relations. Cleanse N Suppress takes the ambiguity out of data bureau work as all reporting is logical, comprehensible and immediately available,” said Phil Good, managing director at  Hopewiser.

Recognising a gap in providing a combined data hygiene solution, the company scoped out the marketplace before selecting The Ark. One aim is to reduce the cost of cleaning data, often cited as a barrier to adoption of this practice and wider market growth. A development roadmap will eventually see other files which are currently offered by Hopewiser’s data bureau, such as the Telephone Preference Service (TPS), embedded into the solution.

Alan Spedding, head of suppressions at The Ark, said: “As leaders in our fields, it’s important for both companies to make data cleansing solutions and services easily accessible for our current and prospective clients. We endeavour to provide our clients with the most accurate, up-to-date information and share our knowledge and expertise.”
